These Terms of Service govern your use of Pixelkids. By creating an account or using the product, you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use the product.

1. Who can use Pixelkids

The account holder must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian of the child who will use the product. By creating an account you represent that this is true and that you have the authority to consent to the child's use on their behalf.

2. What you get

Pixelkids is an AI coaching product that helps a kid learn to use AI to build games, pictures, videos, music, and small learning artifacts. Specific features depend on your subscription plan.

We may add, remove, or change features at any time. We'll give reasonable notice for material changes that affect a paid plan.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
You're responsible for what your kid does in the product while signed in to your account.
One account per parent. Multiple kid profiles per account are allowed (subject to plan limits).
You'll let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Try to circumvent the safety filters or rate limits.
Use the product to harass, harm, defame, or discriminate against any person.
Reverse-engineer, scrape, or republish content generated by our AI providers in ways that violate their terms.
Upload, generate, or attempt to generate content depicting real children, sexual content, weapons, or illegal activity.
Use the product in any way that violates applicable law (in your country and ours).

We may suspend or terminate your account if you do any of the above.

5. Content you and your kid create

You and your kid keep ownership of the content you create with Pixelkids (the prompts, the generated assets, the game code, etc.). By using the product you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, and display that content for the purpose of running the service for you.

AI-generated content may not be eligible for copyright protection in many jurisdictions. We make no warranty about the legal status of generated outputs.

6. AI outputs

AI models can be wrong. They can generate factually incorrect information, biased responses, or content that looks confident but isn't. The tutor in particular tries to coach but isn't a substitute for an actual teacher. Use your judgment.

7. Subscription, billing, refunds

Some features require a paid subscription. Pricing and plan details are shown at sign-up and in your account dashboard.

Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. You can cancel at any time from the account dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We don't generally offer pro-rated refunds for partial periods, but if something is genuinely broken or the product is unusable, email hello@pixelkids.app.
Free trials convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms, with reasonable notice unless the violation is severe (e.g. attempts to generate illegal content).

9. Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Pixelkids and its affiliates are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the product. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations. In those cases the limitations apply only to the extent allowed.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email + in-product notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Singapore, except where local law gives you a non-waivable right to bring claims elsewhere.
